The AFSP Out of the Darkness Walk is a powerful community event dedicated to honoring lives lost to suicide, supporting those affected by suicide, and raising awareness for mental health and suicide prevention.
Hosted by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), the walk brings together survivors of loss, individuals with lived experience, families, friends, and advocates to walk in remembrance, healing, and hope. It is a space where stories are honored, conversations are encouraged, and no one has to feel alone.
This year’s walk is chaired by Susan White, founder of Stacie’s Stargazers, whose dedication to suicide awareness and prevention continues to inspire and strengthen our community.
Funds raised through the Out of the Darkness Walk directly support AFSP’s critical work in education, advocacy, research, and survivor support programs—helping to save lives and bring hope to those who need it most.
